18th Jan 12 - 2012 Wedding Industry Awards London
I was very proud to acompany Chris Fordham to the 2012 Wedding Industy awards in London on Wednesday evening!
We travelled down on the train and had a leisurely meal before heading back to the hotel to get glammed up for the evening.
Chris had already planned what he was doing with my hair which was swept up into a side bun and vintage brooch added the all important sparkle to my hair. Then it was off to my room to get changed and do my makeup! So wearing the most uncomfortable shoes, we hit the town for a champagne reception!
The Kitsch Lounge Riot is in the heart of Piccadilly, it had the feel of a theatre (without seats, ooh my feet). With 500 people there, including Roger Black the runner, it really was a fabulous evening, spend chatting to numerous people we know from Twitter and Facebook. Chris and Kingscote Barn didn't win the National Awards - boo! But they were both thrilled at getting the regional titles.

5th January 2012 - Clearwell Castle
My first wedding of 2012! I don't normally have a wedding in the first week of the year.
Today, it was Lisa's big day at Clearwell Castle. I arrived early to do Lisa's nails with a Shellac french polish which will look good for her honeymoon as well as today!
Then we moved over to the castle as it was all ready early due to no wedding the day before. I started makeup on Lisa's bridesmaid Mel, who normally wears looks of eyeliner and we were trying a look without any undereye liner!!! Very different for her but she keen to try a new makeup look. Hair was styled by Hair by Cara who was very loud and bubbly. Lisa couldn't believe how relaxed the morning was but that soon changed with the arrival of her children, the Mum's and Aunties!
Gold's was the theme of today's wedding so Lisa had choose a smoky brown/gold look for her eyes, apricot cheeks then used one of your favourite sparkly gloss in a soft berry tone.

Happy New Year!
Wow, it's January again and the bridal bookings are coming in so fast !! With 30 weddings already booked for 2012 it's going to a massive wedding year! I'm really looking forward to meeting all my new brides in 2012 and can't wait to be part of their amazing days.
Looking back at 2011, I attended 48 amazing weddings all over Gloucestershire, into Bristol, across to Wiltshire and up in Worcester! All have been a pleasure to work at and I thank you all for allowing me to be part of your special days.
