31st August - Dursley

Today Rebekah was getting married at Cripps Barn in Cirencester. She was getting ready at a family friends house, where they'd had a BBQ the previous day so we were able to sit under the marquee to do makeup for Rebekah and her Mother in law. The light was perfect!

30th August - Thornbury Castle

An early start this morning to travel down to Thornbury Castle. Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn once walked through this 500 year-old castle-palace with its beautiful oriel windows, Tudor hall and historic parkland. But today, it was Amanda's wedding and I was there doing makeup for Amanda, 2 bridesmaids and her Mum. They got ready at the castle, in a fabulous large bedroom however it was very dark as it only had 2 original cross windows for light. So we had to go outside to check the makeup!

29th August - The Close Hotel, Tetbury

Today I was back in Tetbury to visit Alice and her bridesmaids. Alice had booked me last year and had her trial in October, so it was really nice to see her again. Her bridesmaids were in beautiful purple dresses from Monsoon, so I used a lilac silver shadow to compliment the look. The bridal suite looks down on the gardens which allows you to see all the guests arriving. Alice was also able to have a peep at her Fiancé without him seeing her! After leaving Alice, it was over to see Ellen in Cirencester who's getting married in October then back home to see Marie and her Mum for their trials ready for her September wedding.

27th August - Matara Tetbury

After a relaxing 10 days in Sunny France, it's a weekend packed full of weddings for me. Today it was my first visit to The Matara Centre in Tetbury to visit Tina and her bridesmaids. The Matara Centre is a truly unique venue, set in 28 acres of woodland in the Cotswolds. They encourage people to create their own unique wedding experience. Tina official got married yesterday but today it was a ceremony she had designed with her partner to reflect them and their family.

8th August - Trials

With a lovely relaxing start to the day as no little boy in the house! I first visited Phillippa who's getting married in Clearwell Castle in October. She's had her last dress fitting that morning and was very pleased with how it looked, from the couple of snaps I saw of the dress, she's going to look wonderful! Then it was over to Somerton Keynes to visit Shirin who's getting married in September at the village church. Shirin had been for her hair trial and was off to have for a manicure and pedicure too. So it was a day of pampering, which was fitting as it was her birthday!

2nd August - Dumbleton Hall

Up to the beautiful Dumbleton Hall this morning, it really is a lovely setting and with the sun shining Marie was in for a beautiful day. This morning I was doing makeup for Marie and her 2 bridesmaids, who were wearing black dresses so a smokey silver look went perfectly. Marie's hairdresser added a fine gold glitter spray to finish off her hair which gave a lovely sparkle as the light caught it. I left before the dresses were on so I'm looking forward to seeing photo's of Marie in her wedding dress.

Started the day at football, after a year of playing by son has realised he needs to get the ball!! Then it was a quick change of clothes to see Kerry Ann, her Mum and friend. With a house full of family and friends it was non-stop morning for Kerry Ann. She got married in the local church where Pims and scones were going to be enjoyed after the ceremory then they were off to Stonehouse Court for the reception.
